Warranties

We Stand Behind Everything We Do

When we leave your property, you should have complete confidence that the work is done right and backed up in writing. Here’s exactly what’s covered and what to expect from each of our warranties.

Coverage at a Glance

Three Layers of Protection for Your Roof

Depending on the work we do for you, your roof may be covered by one, two, or all three of the warranties below. We’ll walk you through exactly what applies to your job before we start.

2-20

Years

Shingle Saver Labor Warranty

Our labor warranty covers the quality of our installation and workmanship on every job. If something we did isn’t holding up within the warranty period, we’ll come back and make it right at no additional cost.

The length of coverage depends on the type of work carried out. Repairs carry a 2-year labor warranty. Full replacements carry up to a 20-year labor warranty depending on the shingle product and installation type. We’ll document exactly what’s covered for your specific job before we start.

Limited Lifetime

Manufacturer’s Shingle Warranty

When you get a new roof from Shingle Saver, the shingles themselves come with a manufacturer’s warranty issued directly by the brand. This is separate from our labor warranty and covers defects in the materials, not the installation.

Most quality asphalt shingles carry a limited lifetime warranty, which typically covers the cost of defective materials for the life of the original owner. Some products include wind- and algae-resistance coverage, depending on the specific shingle line.

Z

Manufacturing defects in the shingle materials

Z

Premature granule loss due to material defect (not weather)

Z

Wind resistance coverage (varies by product and wind speed rating)

Z

Algae resistance coverage on applicable products

M

Storm damage, hail, or wind beyond the product's rated coverage

M

Damage resulting from improper installation by others

M

Normal wear and aging beyond the product's rated lifespan

Manufacturer warranty terms vary by brand and product line. Specific coverage details for your chosen shingles will be provided at the time of your installation. Warranties require proper installation to remain valid.

5

Year Transferable

Roof Maxx Flexibility Warranty

Every Roof Maxx restoration treatment comes with the Roof Maxx Flexibility Warranty, a product warranty issued by Roof Maxx, which guarantees your treated asphalt shingles will remain flexible and in serviceable condition for 5 years from the date of treatment.

The warranty is based on the Standardized Flexibility Test. If your treated shingles lose their proper operating flexibility within the 5-year window and fail that test, your Certified Roof Maxx Dealer will retreat the affected areas on a prorated basis over the 60-month warranty period.

Warranty stays valid even if your original shingle manufacturer’s warranty has expired or become void due to time or transfer restrictions. And if you sell your home, the Roof Maxx Warranty transfers to the new owner, which can be a genuine selling point.

Z

Shingle flexibility guaranteed for 5 years from treatment date

Z

Prorated retreatment of affected areas if flexibility is lost

Z

Remains valid even if the manufacturer's warranty has expired

Z

Transferable to new owners if the home is sold

M

Loss of granule coating (not covered)

M

Active leaks or faulty installation of the existing roof

M

Acts of God, including wind, ice, snow, or hail (covered under homeowner's insurance)

The Roof Maxx Warranty is not a warranty against granule loss, leaks, or faulty installation of the existing roof. Damage from Acts of God, such as wind, ice/snow, or hail, should be covered under the property owner’s insurance policy.
